ID was mindblowing, but not in a good way.
The Houston show was lacking, so I know how the 3rd time to see ID was. I support Dan obviously, and we will sing along with the songs, we wouldn't have spent this kind of money not to. Sing along with him was the plan. I feel for whatever emotional breakdown Dan had on stage. I am truly sorry for the demons in his life. But, feeling like the show was a bad break up can't help me. On my part, much love and a "thank you for giving me all you had and I'll just take that and get on with my perfect life and leave you in the dust" walk away on his part. For every time I've left feeling uplifted by Dan and his "message" of no judgement, accepting all, mental health support, anti- bullying, no suicide, etc., this show soured the positive and contradicted everything for which he has stood. The most expensive ID show we've been to, and the seats were worse. Deafening silence from the band, the venue and Ticketmaster has been while at the same time saying so much. Our favorite band was ID. Anywhere we would've followed them. But some kind of restitution needs to be made, I don't know what needs to be done.
